At KuraSurf, every corner tells a story. Over years of traveling through beach towns and surf hideaways across the globe, we collected ideas, details, and mental images—little design moments that made us feel inspired, or at home. Those memories became the blueprint for what we wanted to create here at KuraSurf in Lombok: a place where comfort meets character, and where design enhances your surf experience rather than distracts from it.
With an “East meets West” design philosophy, we set out to blend the raw, natural beauty of Indonesia with the soft elegance and functionality of Western resort-style living. Warm woods, local textures, and tropical airiness paired with clean lines, thoughtful lighting, and the quiet sophistication you’d expect from a modern retreat style SurfCamp. The result is a subtle, yet stylish space, where you can unwind deeply after long days in the ocean.
All of our private bungalow suites come standard with a queen sized bed and a partial open bathroom. We approached the design with simplicity in mind – from limited materials to architectural fundamentals. Accented by pitched A-frame roofs and mahogany wood featuring our signature triangle windows, each bungalow is your own private sanctuary.
The Loft, located on the second floor of our lounge, comes standard with a king size bed, or can be configured as two twin beds for those traveling with a friend or family member.
In the center of the property resides our tropical pool, restaurant, bar, and open communal lounge — spaces designed for connection, conversation, and those unplanned moments that make surf trips memorable.
We’ve created a tropical oasis for your mind and body: a yoga shala for finding your flow out of the water, a recovery center with dual ice baths and sauna for tired muscles. All woven together along peaceful pathways surrounded by thriving plants and local fruit trees. Everything is intentional. Everything is designed to support your week of surf progression and rejuvenation.
